Clark Hill Attorney Steven M. Richman Wins 2020 Outstanding COVID Series Program Award

Steven M. Richman was recently awarded the 2020 Outstanding COVID Series Program Award for his program, “Force Majeure and COVID-19: An International Perspective” by the ABA International Law Section.

This webinar discussed Article 79 of the CISG, comparison to UCC Article 2-615, other remedies, and elements of the force majeure claim and issues relating to anticipatory breach and repudiation of contract. The current pandemic has generated interest in force majeure by parties asserting and defending against it, whether embodied in contract or as a matter of common law or civil law principles.
