Stanley L. Blend assists clients in federal income and estate tax planning matters, with emphasis on partnership, limited liability company and real estate tax planning, federal income and estate tax controversy and mergers and acquisitions negotiations.

He structures creative real estate exchanges to defer taxes and plans numerous acquisitions in which personal goodwill is involved, which results in capital gains. Stanley also advises families on management succession issues and asset protection.

In the controversy arena, Stanley has tried and won several tax cases on behalf of taxpayers in the United States Tax Court. Stanley has served as an expert witness on federal tax issues in a number of federal tax controversies. He has published numerous articles and spoken on numerous occasions, principally on tax- related subjects for various groups, including but not limited to, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and various tax institutes.

Stanley is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
