Paul F. Schmeltzer
Paul Schmeltzer advises clients across a variety of industries including healthcare, legal services, manufacturing, and financial services, providing strategic and legal guidance regarding artificial intelligence and preparing for, responding to, recovering, and learning from cybersecurity and privacy incidents. He counsels healthcare clients on telehealth and regulatory matters including federal and state pharmacy law; fraud, waste, and abuse; Stark Law; state and federal anti-kickback statutes; the 21st Century Cures Act; the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA). In addition, Paul drafts managed care contracts for physicians and health plans and advises clients on regulatory and reimbursement matters.
