Nate Goldberg has more than two decades of experience litigating high-stakes business and financial services disputes. He regularly represents banks, broker-dealers, investment funds, public and private companies, government agencies, and other clients in commercial lending, private investment in public and private companies, commodities and derivatives contracts, asset recovery, trade finance and supply chain disputes, shareholder litigation, and business divorces. He also regularly represents clients in contract, employment, intellectual property, real estate, product liability, and insurance litigation.

Nate has years of experience as lead trial counsel and managing trial teams. He regularly represents clients in jury and bench trials before state and federal courts, in arbitration and mediation proceedings before the American Arbitration Association, JAMS, London Court of International Arbitration, and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, in bankruptcy and adversary proceedings, and in government and regulatory investigations and proceedings before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Attorney’s Office, and other regulatory agencies. Over the course of his career, Nate has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of clients and defeated claims against them for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Nate also serves as “Outside General Counsel” to start-ups, technology companies including software and cloud services companies, entertainment and advertising companies, not-for-profit organizations, and other business and society driven ventures. In this role, he routinely advises client stakeholders on the negotiation of third-party contracts including technology, software, and cloud services agreements, the protection of intellectual property and sensitive business and client information, employment matters including compliance with the ADA, Title VII, ADEA, and NYS and NYC Human Rights Law, and employee terminations including the negotiation of separation agreements and governance matters.
