Nabeal Sunna counsels owners, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and engineers in construction disputes. Drawing on his experience in the construction industry and education in mechanical engineering, Nabeal brings a comprehensive perspective and understanding to construction and engineering disputes.

Before attending law school, Nabeal worked in the engineering group of a large-scale mining company. Throughout his career as a mechanical engineer, Nabeal has been intimately involved in every stage of the construction of large scale commercial projects, from feasibility and design phases all the way through to commissioning. As an engineer, Nabeal’s work also included the structural and mechanical modification of critical equipment infrastructure to ensure production, safety, and reliability goals were realized. Nabeal later pivoted to the estimating group of a large scale construction company, focusing on the pre-construction and design phase of industrial construction projects.

Nabeal is also a registered U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent agent, and counsels clients in intellectual property creation and protection strategies. In addition to his JD, Nabeal earned his Certificate in Law Science and Technology, with a focus in Intellectual Property, from ASU Law. Nabeal also participated in the school’s innovation advancement clinic where he helped start-up companies establish a strong business framework and ensure their intellectual capital was secure.
