He assists them in the negotiation and preparation of professional service contracts, and with contracts with their consultants. He assists design professionals and others in protecting their lien and bond rights to secure and obtain payment for their services. Jim also assists architects and engineers in meeting regulatory and licensing requirements in all states so that they can build multi-state practices.
Jim represents contractors, subcontractors and property owners in the negotiation and preparation of construction contracts and with protecting their lien rights. He also assists the firm’s clients with ownership and management succession plans, particularly for professional practices.
Jim has a wealth of experience in business purchase and sale transactions, specifically those involving professional practices and automotive dealerships. His real estate practice includes negotiating and documenting purchase and sale contracts for both raw and developed land, lease negotiations and landlord-tenant matters. His practice includes commercial litigation, mechanics liens and collection law, and general business law.
