Hernando Otero is an alternative dispute resolution attorney with experience as counsel, arbitrator, and mediator in domestic and cross-border disputes in the United States and Latin America. He is also a lecturer and fellow on international arbitration, mediation, and negotiation with the Washington College of Law’s Center on International Commercial Arbitration and a course advisor and lecturer with the International Law Institute in Washington D.C.

He has experience as counsel and arbitrator in proceedings under the rules of the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Bogota Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Conciliation Center, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He is also a neutral with the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution in New York, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC).
