Harrison assists clients through internal investigations, all phases of discovery, and representation at trial. He also counsels clients regarding best practices for limiting liability exposure.
Prior to joining Clark Hill, Harrison worked in a South Texas litigation firm where he represented clients in a wide variety of industries in defending against personal injury claims, civil rights claims, creditors’ rights, healthcare liability claims, real estate matters, oil and gas catastrophic injury claims, and regulatory compliance. He also gained experience serving as outside general counsel for a nonprofit university. Harrison uses that experience to effectively communicate defense strategy and expectations through every stage of litigation to his clients and their legal departments.
Experience
Obtained a complete defense verdict in Texas state court while serving as second chair in a trial involving the alleged negligence of a police officer.
Represented municipalities and law enforcement agencies in both state and federal court defending against alleged violations of constitutional rights brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
Obtained a summary judgment in Texas state court while representing a large healthcare provider against claims of significant real property damage.
Represented multiple long-term care facilities in medical negligence claims, resulting in favorable settlements.
Served as outside general counsel for a nonprofit university counseling the university on issues involving employment disputes, regulatory compliance, entity formation, and commercial disputes.
Represented numerous insured companies in defending against claims of professional liability, negligence, gross negligence, and premises liability.
