Emma advises clients on a variety of issues, including comprehensive claim management and pre-underwriting risk assessments for healthcare systems in the United States. She prepares coverage opinions and drafts reservation of rights letters as well as declination of coverage letters. Emma supports the management of high-exposure cases by working with insureds and their clients to develop case strategies as well as by offering case evaluations.
Prior to joining Clark Hill, Emma gained litigation experience through working for an automobile insurance company where she defended property damage and bodily injury claims in both trials and arbitrations.
In addition, she has also represented insurance companies in a broad spectrum of coverage-related matters involving several types of policies such as commercial general liability policies, workers’ compensation/employers’ liability policies, commercial auto policies, and professional liability policies.
