He is experienced in cases involving UCC sales and finance leases, secured transactions, equipment leasing, commercial real estate, and consumer lending. David represents a variety of banks, residential mortgage lenders, and other financial institutions. He also represents commercial property owners and managers in landlord-tenant litigation and eviction proceedings. He is regularly involved in lawsuits concerning trademark and copyright, disloyal or unfair competition, misuse of trade secrets, and terminations involving companies and their employees, distributors and representatives. His experience also includes class action and multi-district litigation suits.
David received substantial trial and appellate court experience during his consecutive tenures as law clerk for United States District Judge Robert H. Cleland and United States District Judge James P. Churchill of the Eastern District of Michigan. He has represented clients in the Michigan Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Michigan Court of Appeals, as well as at the trial court level for both State and Federal jurisdictions.
