Dana Cohn represents employers litigating a wide array of Labor and Employment matters under the Fair Employment & Housing Act, the Civil Rights Act, and related laws.  These matters include discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, and tort claims.  She regularly represents clients in litigation throughout state and federal courts in California, the District of Columbia, and administrative agencies, while keeping costs low for her clients by pursuing early settlement resolution with opposing counsel.

Dana’s clients include private businesses, cities, school districts, and other public agencies.  She provides training, advice and counsel to clients, so that they may be aware of their duties (and their employees’ rights) under California’s employment-related state and administrative laws and regulations.

Dana’s experience representing public agencies has also prepared her well to represent municipalities desiring to comply with the ever-changing laws related to California’s cannabis industry.  She regularly works with and provides counsel to elected and appointed officials on the commercial cannabis licensing process, employment investigations into police misconduct associated with cannabis searches and seizures, and the related writs and litigation arising from such processes and investigations.

Prior to and after becoming an attorney, Dana worked for over five years on federal, state and local Democratic political campaigns in the Voter Protection and Field Departments.  She continues to volunteer on issues and campaigns near and dear to her heart.
