Chris’ corporate practice encompasses a wide variety of business transactions, including private and public financings, formation of joint ventures and partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. He also advises boards, founders, and key stakeholders on corporate governance and other strategic matters. He has represented companies in a variety of industries, including retail, hospitality, cannabis, entertainment, and manufacturing. In his real estate practice, Chris represents developers, entrepreneurial investors, institutional investors, lenders, and other parties in all aspects of transactional real estate.
Chris also maintains a robust niche practice representing startups in the Retail and E-commerce, CPG, and Food and Beverage industries on brand protection, advertising and marketing law matters. He also represents firms in connection with prosecution and defense of Lanham Act, Truth-in-Advertising laws, and general trademark protection. In addition, Chris assists clients in assessing and managing risks under certain Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics, including those related to environmental and sustainability claims (“green marketing”).
