Carolyn Taylor

Carolyn strategizes with the client to develop the company’s defense, including identifying issues that could increase liability and ways to mitigate against these and works closely with experts in order to develop a solid defense.

Since 2005, Carolyn has served as National and Local Counsel for a generic drug manufacturer in the HRT, Quinine, Reglan, and Darvon litigations. She previously served as National Coordinating Counsel for a major defendant in the Latex Glove litigation.

As National Counsel, Carolyn managed local counsel, drafted protocols for early dismissal and discovery, worked closely with the client to develop the company’s story, identify relevant witnesses and collect all necessary documents.

She also defends manufacturers with claims involving products such as ventilators, oxygen regulators, hip implants, thermal wands, surgical plates and taks, stents, laser devices, pacemakers, pain pumps, cold therapy units, nerve monitoring devices for non-invasive surgical procedures, cardiac monitoring devices, dental instruments, implants and devices used in oral surgery procedures, braces, and prosthetic devices.

Carolyn also represents manufacturers and distributors of wheelchair lifts, wheelchairs, food supplements, exercise equipment, recreational equipment, and tanning beds.

She currently serves as the Co-Chair of Clark Hill BOLD – San Diego, the firm’s strategy to promote women within the firm, the legal profession, and the business community.
