J. Caralisa Connell counsels clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters, with a focus on fidelity bonds, commercial crime, directors and officers insurance, and surety matters.
Caralisa advises insurers on coverage analysis and investigation, matters concerning financial institution bonds, employee theft and dishonesty, social engineering losses, cyber-crime and computer fraud claims. She also represents sureties and construction-industry clients in various matters including surety claims, complex construction issues, contract disputes, and other commercial matters.

- Represented insurer in litigation in Virginia federal court in which plaintiffs sought coverage under a commercial crime policy, obtaining summary judgment on the basis a construction contract was not a security, as defined by the policy.
