Ali Bloom is a data privacy attorney called upon by clients to advise on media, technology, intellectual property (IP) and artificial intelligence (AI), and to solve issues in litigation and data privacy matters. Ali has a reputation for providing tailored, strategic solutions that align with her clients’ business needs, especially in high-stakes litigation and compliance matters.

A Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States (CIPP/US) as certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Ali works with businesses on proactive compliance with state privacy laws including California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) and global privacy laws such as European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Her experience includes counseling on session replay technologies, chatbots, and other online tracking tools, as well as licensing and copyright infringement, and in disputes concerning failed technology projects.

Along with the Clark Hill Cyber, Privacy, and Technology Litigation team, Ali has defended businesses in actions brought under the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Electronic Communication Privacy Act and other wiretapping statutes, Right to Publicity Act statues (IRPA), Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA). Ali works with businesses on copyright infringement and media claims, including internet defamation and First Amendment matters.
