Clark Hill Public Strategies (CHPS), a leading bipartisan government relations and lobbying firm affiliated with international law firm Clark Hill, announced today that Jonathan Galaviz has joined its team in Washington, DC. Galaviz brings over 20 years of experience in advising clients in the Asia-Pacific, the European Union, and Latin American regions on government relations strategy, international market-entry development, and economic forecasting.
Galaviz previously served as a presidentially appointed Senior Advisor in the Trump Administration and was assigned to the U.S. Department of State. While there, he managed the implementation of Executive Order 13773, contributed to the development of the Indo-Pacific Strategy, and advised over a dozen nominated ambassadors on their U.S. Senate confirmation process.
“The new year will bring new paradigms and challenges for our clients in Washington, D.C., and abroad. Clients at Clark Hill need senior-level government relations and lobbying professionals who understand these new realities and how to best manage them,” said Bret Wacker, Managing Director of CHPS. “Jonathan is well-positioned to provide senior-level guidance to CHPS clients in the U.S. and internationally. We look forward to him joining our highly respected lobbying team.”
Galaviz most recently headed Galaviz & Company, a boutique management consulting firm that provides strategic government relations advice and independent economic analysis to a range of clients in the finance, tourism, casino gaming, and public sectors. Prior to his service in the Trump Administration, Galaviz was a Chief Economist and Partner at Global Market Advisors (GMA), an internationally recognized consulting firm to the casino gaming, airline, and hospitality industries.
“Clark Hill Public Strategies has some of the best lobbyists and government affairs professionals in the United States, at both the federal and state levels,” Galaviz said. “I look forward to advising CHPS and Clark Hill clients on how to best navigate the halls of Washington in 2025 and beyond. I also look forward to guiding U.S. clients on their international government relations strategies. It’s clear that clients can rely on Clark Hill and CHPS to provide robust integrated solutions to complex problem sets in both the U.S. and international markets.”
Galaviz is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (HKIArb), a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS), and an active member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
He holds degrees from the Faculty of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, the University of London, the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong, and the New Mexico Military Institute.
Galaviz is CHPS’s second new addition in December, with Nicole Rodgers having joined the team earlier in the month.
