Clark Hill announced today that Conor Linehan has joined its Environmental and Natural Resources team as a Member in the firm’s Dublin office.
Linehan brings more than 25 years of experience in environmental law to Clark Hill. He works with a wide range of public and private sector clients to provide environmental due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, support in environmental litigation, and regulatory counsel.
“This is a very exciting opportunity for me as Clark Hill’s presence in Ireland has proven to be a true integration of its American and Irish teams,” Linehan said. “With the firm’s transatlantic team growing, I look forward to working with many American colleagues and servicing clients’ environmental needs.”
Linehan also advises on contaminated land issues and industrial emissions licensing. His practice includes environmental finance and insurance underwriting for environmental risk and liability. Linehan has also provided counsel on climate change issues.
“We’re thrilled to add Conor to our environmental team in Dublin,” said Patrick Larkin, Business Unit Leader of Clark Hill’s Environmental and Natural Resources group. “He’s been a leader in this space for many years and will be a tremendous asset to our clients investing in Ireland and an important addition to our US team providing counsel on compliance by US companies with EU environmental and related obligations.”
Linehan has previously served as senior vice chair of the International Bar Association’s Environment, Health, and Safety Law Committee and vice chair of the IBA President’s Task Force on Climate Change Justice and Human Rights. He was also an Irish government appointee to the International Panel of Environmental Law Expert Arbitrators, at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague.
